Austin, Texas Teams up with NME for a fourth year


Having achieved a firm foothold in the UK market in terms of brand and destination recognition*, Austin is keen to expand promotion of the destination’s many offerings in the coming year, from sports events, including the likes of F1 hosted at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, to the food scene, cultural events and the great outdoors. “We are thrilled to be working with NME for a fourth year. Three years ago we aimed to use the sponsorship as a platform to bring Austin’s music and festival scene to the UK and we are confident we have achieved what we set out to do,” commented Julie Chase, Austin CVB CMO & VP. “Austin’s visitors from the UK have steadily increased as a result of the daily non-stop British Airways flight which started nearly three years ago. The NME partnership has been key to bringing a little bit of what our Live Music Capital of the World® has to offer to the UK audience.”
