The Benefits of Membership

 

The Visit USA Association (UK) was established over twenty years ago to promote leisure travel from the UK to and within the USA.  As a membership organisation, governed by an elected voluntary Board of Directors, we have a structure of committees to organise and direct our many activities and projects. Our membership of approximately 200 includes organisations from every facet of the travel industry: airlines, hotels, tour operators, attractions, destinations and industry suppliers. 


The annual membership fee of £450 for Full Membership or £250 ($400) for Associate Membership opens the door to a number of key benefits for members, including a number of subsidised and pay-to-play activities that have become major annual events in the industry’s social and business calendars:

Holidaymakers planning a visit to the US are waiting to be inspired. Members can attract customers with holiday ideas, special offers and news through the Visit USA website.  It includes a ‘Get inspired’ section and allows visitors to search for different types of holiday types and services. This facility offers the following benefits:
  • Direct Hyperlinks to Members’ own sites
  • Brochures - generating consumer enquiries for direct fulfilment by Members
  • Special Offers - consumer enquiries for direct fulfilment by Members

Publications

Visit USA (UK) publishes a regular online newsletter featuring members’ services and news. This is available to all via our web site and is also distributed directly to 15,000 UK travel trade and media by e-mail. We also have our own dedicated pages contained within Selling Travel magazine each month.

We also publish our yearly Visit USA Travel Planner – a comprehensive travel guide to the USA featuring all Visit USA Members alongside engaging editorial and other travel information. With a circulation of 50,000 this guide is reaches the consumer and travel trade via our travel information and brochure request line, website, consumer travel shows and other targeted distribution channels.

Press Relations

The Visit USA Association acts as the authoritative voice for the travel industry to the UK trade and consumer press on all matters relating to travel to the USA. We routinely issue a press releases on current major issues and hold briefings with key members of the press, as well as providing monthly market update columns for the UK's leading travel industry publications.


Market Research

From time to time, as required by market circumstance, Visit USA undertakes tracking and ad hoc market research amongst members and / or consumers into relevant issues of the day. Results are shared with all members.
